DIY Easy Bat Ears
Bat Ears are super easy to whip up. Have you figured out what you will be for Halloween? It’s OK to say NO. Guess what, we’ve got you covered. Most adults run into a costume shop last minute and dig through what’s left over. The truth is you have the skills and most likely the materials laying around your house right now. Just a day before Halloween we are whipping up some cute and maybe sexy bat ears. Stay tuned for the follow up picture of Sue as a Sexy bat for Halloween. Here are the supplies you will need
Here are the steps you will take
Fold felt in half with 8″ tall
Cut Bat ear shape. The folded base measures about 2-1/2″ and the height is about 4″. Cut two.
Wrap the felt around the head band with the folded portion centered under the head band. The teeth of the head band will cling to the felt providing extra security.
Align the tops of the bat ears and staple as close to the head band as possible. Staple in the center mid way and centered close to the top.
Use Sharpie to color over the staples. Repeat on back side.
Repeat above steps for second ear.
By the way, you can apply these same simple steps to create all these other animal ears:
Cat, Fox, Bunny and more.
