Basic steps on how to make:
(For full detail instructions get the Halloween Door Hangers here)
Cut materials according to instructions, fuse batting to wrong side of the front pieces
Hoop first piece of cutaway stabilizer – choose the small pumpkin (there are three different faces in three different sizes) – insert bobbin thread and orange thread on top – sew ribbon baste stitch.
Place handle ribbon – top pumpkin stem ribbon and the Front (batting side down). Tape to secure all in place. Sew outside basting stitch to secure the front to the stabilizer.
Sew the pumpkin lines and face
Place the back on the wrong side, tape to secure along top and bottom edges.
Wind a matching bobbin with the orange and sew the outside pumpkin stitch, this will secure the front to the back.
Remove materials from hoop and cut around the pumpkin; 1/8″ on sides and 1/2″ extra notch along bottom.
Repeat steps 2-5 and make as long as you want. On the last pumpkin cut 1/8″ around and don’t cut the 1/2″ notch. Make them as short or as long as you like. Mix and match the different sizes and faces. Mix a ghost in with the pumpkins…get spooky and have fun! Go now and grab your copy!
