TOOL AND MATERIALS
- Embroidery design from the DIME digitizing software under Monograms
- Diaper Cover Panties from All About Blanks
- Embroidery hoop
- Placement Stickers by DIME
- Hoop Mat by DIME
- Embroidery needles 75/11
- Duckbill scissors – I prefer the 4.5″
- Sticky stabilizer
- Flower-head pins – I prefer flower head pins because they are log and it is easy to see the head
- Embroidery Thread
- 60 Wt Bobbin – I use OESD
- Tearaway Wash Away stabilizer
- Sheer cutaway – Polymesh
**There are two methods I will show today**
Method One – Step one
(This method is to hoop the sheer stabilizer and pin the Diaper Cover Panties to the stabilizer).
Hoop sheer cutaway stabilizer.
Find the center of the area you want to embroider. Pin the center and place a placement sticker in the center of the center.
Method One – Step Two
Using the Hoop Mat, find the center of the stabilizer. Alight the center of the stabilizer and the center placement sticker together. Begin to smooth out the panties and pin to the stabilizer until the panty is completely flat and there is as much flat center surface with no extra panty around the sides. For more details, watch the video.
Thread the machine and insert a brand new needle.
Method One – Step Three
Insert hoop into the machine. Slip a piece of the tearaway wash away under the hoop and float it for the added body.
Center needle over the center placement sticker and sew.
Once finished stitching. Remove the hoop from the machine, remove the materials and pins. Cut the sheer stabilizer away with duckbill scissors and tear away the extra tearaway wash away. What doesn’t come out will simply wash away in the first wash.
Method Two – Step one
(This method is to hoop the Diaper Cover Panties and float the stabilizer under the hoop while stitching).
Find the center of the embroidery area and mark with flower-head pins. Find the center of the center and mark it with a placement sticker.
Hoop the panties with the right side facing up. Aim to get the little tags in the center back outside the hoop. Rollback all the extra panty material and pin through all layers. Watch the video for more details.
Method Two – Step Two
Insert hoop into the machine. Slip a piece of the tearaway washwasy stabilizer under the hoop. Use editing tools on the embroidery machine to find the center and place the design. Sew the design.
Method Two – Step three
Once stitching is complete remove the hoop from the machine.
Remove the pins.
Gently remove the tearaway washaway stabilizer. What doesn’t come out with ripping can be removed with scissors or pins.
