From September 14th until now I have been on full speed mode and finally feel like my life is settling down. There has been some exciting things happening but honestly I am glad to be in my new place and settling in. How about I fill you in!
On September 14th Heidi and I were told we had three weeks to move. We’d been in our old place for 6 years and this new place was bigger, dog friendly and most importantly had a dedicated space for a sewing studio!
We packed up our townhouse and with the help of my fella, we moved. Still a work in progress but getting excited about the new area. Check out some of my decorations!
On top of moving I had to prepare for a 5 day long trip to California at the big sewing convention, PIQF! I was to teach some lovely ladies hands on classes. I must say, we all had the best time, check out my gals and the beautiful things they made.
More photos from PIQF! Check out those beautiful BERNINA TULA 770 machines.
International Quilt Market, lovingly referred to as “Fall Market” is in Houston every fall around Halloween time. Sometimes I get my own booth, sometimes I work in someone else’s booth and sometimes I walk the show. This year I did something new, I taught! I was asked to teach a class on YouTube and show fellow entrepreneurs how I do what I do with it. I also worked in the Famore booth demonstrating the EZ Point & Turner notion, Famore is the manufacturer of my notion. I love the Famore guys, Sebastian and Brint, and love being in their booth.
Here are some of my friends I got to see while working at the Famore booth, walking the show and teaching my class.
As mentioned, in the middle of travel, moving and teaching there was Halloween. Now what sort of mom would I be if I didn’t support miss Heidi’s new found passion for Cosplay and sewing?! So, when my girl asked if I could help her work on her Meg Cosplay for Halloween I said YES of course. Check out what she wanted to make and how great her costume came out. So proud of this kid!!
