Change that needle!
Needles! As frugal as we all want to be, it is necessary to change your needles often. The average sew time is 8 hours. That applies to our serger, embroidery, and sewing machine needles. Some projects will require you to change them more often and some less. If you are embroidering 8 hours of running stitch designs with very little cross~over stitching, then perhaps make that needle last 10 hours. But on the other hand, if you are embroidering a very dense design…make it 6 hours. Let your machine tell you. If she is purring along, maybe give it a little more time. But, if she is making, clanking noises, it is done.
Here’s another needle tip (pun intended)
