Once upon a time we were walking through a high end children’s furniture store and saw a fancy head band holder. Thought to myself, how pretty and functional…until I saw the price, $29.99. I quickly examined the holder and realized it was about the size of a paper towel roll and I’m sure I could whip one up. Here are the measurements and tips on how to make your very own Simple No-Sew Head Band Holder!
Tools & Materials:
- 3/4 yd of fabric (yields two Head Band Holders)
- Standard Roll of paper towel
- Straight pins (6-12, these remain in project)
- Fabric scissors
- Tape measure
- Head bands
Remove plastic wrap from paper towels.
Cut fabric to measure 27″ long and 20″ wide.
Use ONE piece of 20″x27″ fabric (save the other piece for the next holder).
Fabric Wrong Side facing up. Place paper towel in center of the 20″ width. Using straight pins, begin to secure the RAW edge of the 20″ width to the paper towel roll holding in place. Add 3-6 pins which will remain permanently across this raw edge.
Keep tucking and rolling especially as the final 2″ comes to an end. Make sure there are NO RAW edges exposed. Tuck and roll tight. Secure with 3-6 straight pins which will remain permanently in the Head Band Holder.
Stand upright and add headbands.
We hope you enjoyed this quick NO Sew fun crafty activity. Look forward to seeing all the beautiful head band holders you create.
Have a creative day!
