~How to use the Hotee Cordless Hotfix Rhinestones Applicator Tool – Does this Notion REALLY Work?~
Do you love adding Rhinestones and glitz to your sewing and craft projects? I’ve got this super cool Hotfix applicator to show you today. It’s call the Hotee and it’s cordless.
What is the Hotee?
A Cordless Hotfix Rhinestones Applicator Tool.
- No more tangled wires
- Works on 3 AA Batteries
- One tip for all size stones (no need to change tips)
- On/off switch
- Auto shut down/off
- Ergonomic design (hold like pencil)
Who invented the Hotee?
Sandy, the owner of Vision Trims and Crafts. Sandy has been in the sewing, crafting, quilting and fashion industry for the past 20 years. In 2017 Sandy saw a need for a cordless hotfix applicator and it became an over night sensation!!
Below is a photo of Sandy and I at Quilt Market 2017 in Houston Texas. We were Booth mates. Sandy was an awesome neighbor, he helped with setting up my booth, brought bottled water in each day and helped watch my booth when I needed to step away. I hope I am as lucky next year with such a terrific booth mate.
What does the Hotee do?
The metal tip heats up hot enough so you can apply Hotfix Rhinestones to any fabric project.
How do you use the Hotee?
Insert three AA batteries into the base.
Turn the power on. Hold down the blue top button for 10 seconds, this will heat up the metal applicator tip.
Place Hotfix stones where you want them to be on the material. Place the metal tip of the Hotee over top of the rhinestones. Hold for 15-60 seconds (depending on the material, how thick the material is, etc).
Stones are set and ready for machine wash or dry cleaning.
*FUN TIP* In a pinch – the Hotee tip can be used as a mini iron.
Be sure to read the back package for detailed instructions. Also scroll through the warnings.
- ONLY use Hotfix Rhinestone GLASS Crystals with Hotfix Glue
- Always test the stones
- Tool gets hot *CAREFUL*
- Use only Alkaline batteries, never mix old and new
- Don’t use if dropped
- Do not leave in on position
- Turn tool off for storage and remove batteries in not in use for awhile
- Not a toy – keep out of reach of children *NOTE: my daughter Heidi used it with my supervision.

Where can I get the Hotee and how much is it?
Ask your local quilt or sewing shop if they have them or can order one for you. If you are not close by a shop you can go online to get one.
