No mater what you are stitching the first question you will most likely as yourself is, what’s the seam allowance? These handy little notions work together to help you achieve perfect seam allowance while keeping your fabric straight while stitching. Today we’re going to talk about the Ideal Seam Gauge and Guides by Sew Very Smooth.
Who invented the Ideal Seam Gauge and Guides?
LuAnn and Steve Tippets of Sew Very Smooth. The entire family is involved in some way or another with the business. They invented this amazing product in 2012.
Where did I first see them?
Summer of 2017 Heidi, my little girl, and I went to the American Sewing Guild conference in Orlando Florida. Seeing lots of old friends and making new ones. Heidi is not a shy girl. While I was catching up with some friends, she was down the isle saying hi to new folks and introduced herself to Steve and told him her mommy makes notion videos and then drew him a picture.
What set do I have?
There are a few different sizes of the Idea Seam Guide but I have the Student edition.
Where can you get?
All over the world. First ask your local quilt shop or sewing machine dealer. You can also find them on their website or these other online shops.
